About — real platform, independent map

The endpoints are real.

auth.grok.me, hub, Neon, Vercel publish, and xAI APIs are real platform surfaces. This app re-probes and explains them; it is not xAI’s official documentation product.

Real

auth.grok.me · Google/X federation · Better Auth · Neon/PGLite · Vercel publish · *.grok.me · hub · XAI_API_KEY surfaces · builder template rules

Independent (this app)

This field guide, its bank catalog, Live Lab probes, and example iframes — not the official help center, support desk, or legal policy page.

What this app is

  • A map of real Grok App Builder capabilities for AI/dev builders.
  • A live probe tool so you can re-check broker idps and public endpoints with a timestamp.
  • Catalog version 2026-08-10 — static prose is versioned; probes re-measure the live platform.

What “not official docs” does NOT mean

  • It does not mean endpoints are fake or demo-only.
  • It does not mean Google/X sign-in is pretend.
  • It does not mean hub apps are imaginary.
  • It only means: this sheet is not the canonical product documentation brand — use it as a hands-on field guide.

The needful

Real platform, independent sheet

Endpoints and capabilities described here (Grok broker, Better Auth, Neon/PGLite, Vercel publish, xAI API) are real parts of the Grok App Builder environment. What is “unofficial” is this app as a document: it is a builder-made map + live probe tool, not the canonical help center or support channel.

What “measured” means

Live Lab and Bank smoke tests are server-side HTTP checks against the real public surfaces at a point in time. They confirm reachability and broker idp accept/reject behavior. They are not SLAs, pricing contracts, or promises that nothing will ever change.

What “template / unknown” means

Template claims come from the Grok App Builder skills wired into the sandbox (real product constraints). Unknown means a hard number (e.g. exact Neon GB) is not published here — we refuse to invent quotas. Unmeasured ≠ fake; unknown ≠ unlimited.

When official sources win

If this sheet and official material disagree, trust docs.x.ai, Vercel docs, and in-product Grok settings for policy and billing. Use this sheet for hands-on “what does the broker accept right now?” and builder-template truth.

Safety of probes

Probes are GET-only against public https URLs or the auth broker idp endpoint. Private/local hosts are blocked. OAuth client IDs and tokens are redacted in UI/receipts. Do not paste secrets into custom probes.

AI spend

If a Grok app uses XAI_API_KEY, calls spend the app owner’s real quota. This sheet reports whether a key is present when available; browsing the catalog does not fire chat/image/video generations.

Examples & hub links

Hub apps and *.grok.me previews are real published apps. Listing or embedding them is illustrative, not an xAI product endorsement, and their content can change.

How to use this well

Treat this as a living field guide: learn the shape of the real platform, re-run Live Lab for a timestamped check, search the Bank for auth/APIs, open Examples for live iframes. Prefer official docs for legal/billing; prefer probes for runtime availability.

    Measured

Observed against the real endpoint in this run (timestamped).

  • template

    Template

Stated in Grok Build builder skills / app wiring (real product rules).

    Inferred

From public host docs (e.g. generic Vercel limits) — not Grok-specific quotas.

  • unknown

    Unknown

Number not published here — we do not invent it (does not mean “not real”).
